Our Data Sources

How we verify data: Before any statistic is added to the site, we locate and read the original source document. We do not use secondary citations — meaning we do not cite a statistic because another website cited it; we go back to the original report. Where the original source is behind a paywall, we document the access method. Where a statistic appears across multiple sources with differing values, we present the range and note the methodological differences. We do not fabricate, round aggressively, or extrapolate beyond what a source explicitly states. If a figure cannot be sourced to a primary document, it does not appear on this site.

Our Methodology

The ROI calculator uses a transparent, auditable formula:

ROI = ((Total Annual Savings − Total Annual Investment) ÷ Total Annual Investment) × 100

Total Annual Savings is calculated from two components: labor cost reduction and productivity gain. Labor cost reduction is derived by multiplying the number of interactions handled by AI agents by the per-interaction cost differential between AI and human handling. Productivity gain captures time savings for human workers who are augmented by AI assistance but not replaced outright. Healthcare applies a more conservative multiplier reflecting compliance overhead and higher implementation costs. Handling conflicting data: When our source materials report meaningfully different figures for the same metric, we do not simply average them. We examine the underlying methodologies — sample size, industry segment, geographic scope, deployment maturity — and either present the range explicitly or note which figure best applies to our use case.
